Source model
A source note tells readers what kind of evidence they are seeing.
The source model is intentionally compact. It should identify the evidence type, creator or holder, relevant date, access path, and editorial confidence when those details affect interpretation.
- Primary records include public documents, programs, maps, images, and collection notes.
- Community memory can include oral histories, interviews, family records, and local context.
- Media records include captions, credits, transcript status, and usage notes.
